Advances In Treatment Of Lung Cancer
DANBURY â The Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital will sponsor a continuing medical oncology education program discussing âCurrent Advances in the Treatment of Lung Cancerâ on Wednesday, November 9, from 7:30 am to noon. The program will take place in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium, 24 Hospital Avenue.
The featured keynote speaker at the program is Thomas Lynch, MD, associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, director of the Center for Thoracic Cancer, Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr Lynch will address âNovel Chemotherapy Agents for Lung Cancer.â
The half-day program is geared toward primary care physicians, medical oncologists, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, and other health care professionals. Program participants will be updated on the most current medical advances in the treatment of lung cancer, including evaluation of lung masses for the primary care physician, VATS lobectomy, and adjuvant therapy of lung cancer.
Registration begins at 7:30 am and is free of charge.
Danbury Hospital has designated this educational activity for a maximum of 4.0 Continuing Medical Education hours toward the AMA Physicianâs Recognition Award.
