A Surprisingly Impressive Lunch
A Surprisingly
Impressive Lunch
To Newtown Restaurant Patrons:
As I was driving the other day, to mine and my 5-year-old sonâs surprise, Arthurâs Restaurant has opened for business! We decided to have lunch there right away. As we walked in, there was a wonderful aroma of baking bread and a hint of garlic. Since we were the only customers, we were seated right away. Our waiter politely nodded as my son told him about his uncleâs farm. The owner welcomed us to his restaurant and thanked us for coming in. My son ordered macaroni and cheese, which was the best I had ever tasted. Imagine homemade Kraft-style macân cheese! My Italian Chicken Salad, roasted chicken, prosciutto, parmesan cheese and arugula, served on a bed of spinach with extra virgin olive oil and white wine vinegar, made my taste buds dance.
Most of my friends know just how picky I am about restaurant food. Most of the time, Iâd say about a dish that if I can make it better at home, I will not order it. And salad dressings, sauces, and condiments must be freshly made. Arthurâs Restaurant is an Italian restaurant with some old favorites on the menu and a few great new creations that Arthur can call his own. I would love to see this place become one of Newtownâs hot spots. They like kids too. Despite the fact that he ate every last bit of macaroni in his bowl, my sonâs assessment was that the walls were pretty solid and the fireplace was quite impressive.Â
