COPD Program

At Danbury Hospital

DANBURY –– A Danbury Hospital Medical Town Meeting, “Live and Breathe Better: Managing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD),” will be held on Tuesday, October 23, from 7 to 8:30 pm, in the hospital auditorium.

The program will be preceded, from 6 to 7 pm, by free pulmonary function screenings in the auditorium foyer.

Speakers will include the hospital’s respiratory/pulmonary staff including Dr Terence Trow, and Marianne Mitchell, pulmonary rehabilitation coordinator. They will address how COPD affects the lungs and existing medical treatment options. A member of the Danbury Hospital Better Breathers Club also will provide a patient’s perspective about living with COPD. Frank Salvatore, manager of the hospital’s department of respiratory services and neurophysiology, will facilitate the evening program.

Ample time will be allowed for audience questions. Medical Town Meetings are co-sponsored by Danbury Hospital and the Danbury Office of Physician Services, PC, and are free and open to the public. No reservations are required. Free parking is available in the blue visitor’s parking lot, Hospital Avenue entrance.
