Council Chairman Will Be Missed

Pierre Rochman is to be commended for his leadership skills and accomplishments as chairman of the legislative council. This year he developed a budget that was reasonable while formulating it within the framework of a new 5/6 school, an increased school budget, and providing funds to buy Fairfield Hills plus enough money to remodel a building in Fairfield Hills for town offices.

Mr Rochman had to cope with contentious council members and as point man had the courage to answer reporters’ questions, which were often misquoted. Pierre also had the ability to withstand the slings and arrow of less than knowledgeable citizens who could not control their tempers in public meetings. As the chairman of the legislative council his management abilities, courage and intellect will be missed.
