56th Annual Newtown Labor Day Parade: ‘Labor of Love,’ steps off at 10 am from Main Street at Hanover Road, annual townwide (and beyond) celebration will feature Grand Marshal Lee Paulsen (president, FAITH Food Pantry), also local fire companies, marching bands, schools, groups and clubs, dancers, floats, military vehicles, politicians, et al, parade route follows Main Street to Glover Avenue, then northwest onto Queen Street, ending at Church Hill Road, those planning to attend asked to bring nonperishable donation for nonecumenical food pantry.
