12th Annual Newtown Road Race and Kids Fun Runs, 8-11 am rain or shine, Dickinson Memorial Park, 50 Elm Drive, 5K run for adults, $25/runner advance, $30/morning of race, USATF certified 5K race on rolling, scenic course, kids runs of 75 yards, 100 yards and quarter-mile (depending on level and age of child; $5/child, $10/family), T-shirts to first 1,000 adults and 150 children registered, hosted by and benefit for Newtown Youth & Family Services; 203-270-4335, newtownyouthandfamilyservices.org.
