6th Annual Mad Dash Mud Race, first group to begin 8:30 am, Fairfield Hills, Keating Farms Avenue, $35/person $15/ages 5-8 (for Mini Dash), $250/team of ten, $125/Super Hero team of six, Elite (4.3 miles) and Super Hero (also 4.3 miles, firefighters and police, EMTs, Search & Rescue, et al) to begin at 8:30, Mini Dash (ages 5-8) at 9:45, and Open (1.7 miles) 10 am start, individuals and teams invited to compete within obstacle/challenge course of varying lengths and difficulties, presented by and fundraiser for Newtown Parks & Recreation and NYA Sports & Fitness Center; 203-270-4340, parks.newtown-ct.gov, nyasportsfitness.com.
