43rd Annual Rooster Run, 7:45 am, starts from and returns to Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, advance registration $25 ages 18 and up, $15 ages 5-17, $10 ages 3-7, race day $30, 10K and 5K options for runners, Little Chicks Dash for children, advance registration closes at noon April 28, proceeds benefit Newtown Scholarship Association; 203-270-4340, newtown-ct.gov/parks-recreation. TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: 10K to start at 8 am, 5K at 8:15, and Little Chicks Dash at 9:15.
