Contest hosted by Newtown Lions Club will decorate sidewalks ahead of Newtown Arts Festival, categories for Youth (age 15 and under) and Adult (16+), with $100 first place prize in each category, also $250 David Merrill Memorial People’s Choice Award, winners announced September 20 (during arts festival), rain date September 13; newtownlions.org.
