Chester A. Wojciechowski

Chester A. “Chet” Wojciechowski, 85, of Newtown, died April 18, in Danbury Hospital, 15 days after the death of his beloved wife, Geraldine “Honey” (Thomas) Wojciechowski. He was born in Detroit, May 13, 1927, a son of Katherine (Flis) and Vincent Wojciechowski.

Mr Wojciechowski served in the US Navy, as a petty officer third class, during World War II.

He was a graduate of Detroit College of Applied Science and Lawrence Institute of Technology. During his working career Mr Wojciechowski was an engineer employed by The Producto Machine Co. of Bridgeport, Drillmation Co. of Ferndale, Mich., Sunstrand Corp of Detroit, and Acar Broach and Machine Co. of East Detroit.

A resident of Newtown since 1976, he was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

His son Mark Wojciechowski, and his wife Karin, of New York; three daughters, Mary Wojciechowski of Montana, Margaret Manz, and her husband Leonard, of Connecticut, and Teresa Accashian, and husband David, of Colorado; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a nephew survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, April 22. Interment was in St Rose Cemetery.
