Moon Over Buffalo by Ken Ludwig, directed by Diana Canova, will be performed by Town Players of Newtown at The Little Theatre, weekends May 17-June 1.

In Ludwing’s 1995 comedy, George and Charlotte Hay, a husband and wife team of actors, struggle to perform Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives in repertory while dealing with family crises and the possibility of a Hollywood director’s visit.

The Town Players cast features Henry Wright and Gillian Holt as the Hays. The cast also includes Desirae Kelley as Rosalind (Roz), George and Charlotte’s daughter; Dan Murphy as Howard, Roz’s fiancé; Cooper Smithers as Paul, a TV weatherman and Roz’s ex-fiancé; Laurel Lettieri as Ethel, Charlotte’s nearly-deaf mother; Tim Brandt as Richard, a lovesick lawyer who is courting Charlotte; and Calista Giroux as Eileen, an actress in George’s company who had a one-night stand with him.

Producers for the upcoming production are Stefanie Rosenberg, Nicole Kittleman, and Tyler A. Kittleman. Stage Manager is Barbara Disraeli, and Light/Sound Operator is Cecil Kneen.

Performances are planned for Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm, and Sundays, May 19 and 26, at 2 pm.

There is also one Thursday evening performance planned for May 30.

Tickets are $30 for evening shows, $25 for matinees, and available through newtownplayers.org.
