To the Editor:

It is with great pleasure that I endorse Daniel Delia for a seat on Newtown's Board of Education. I have worked with Dan for the last five years in the Cromwell Public Schools and have found him to be a man of integrity and limitless enthusiasm and energy. Dan has been a teacher, administrative intern, and has served on many committees within our school. He is always a positive force, a good listener, and is willing to share his knowledge and expertise with others. Dan holds a master's degree and an administrative degree in education leadership and understands the workings of a successful public school, including curriculum and budgetary restraints.

Dan is an excellent, well-rounded educator and a consummate professional, who always puts the needs of his students first. He is intelligent, a natural-born leader, an extremely hard worker, and a "team player." His extensive knowledge, work ethic, supportiveness, experience, and leadership abilities are all essential qualities for an effective Board of Education member. Dan Delia possesses all of these qualities and more. He is always a gentleman and I am honored to call him my colleague and friend.

Citizens of Newtown, please vote for Dan Delis on Election Day. He will serve you and your children well.
