James P. Talarino, 75, a Newtown resident for more than 50 years, died peacefully September 1. He was born in Bridgeport and was the son of James Vincent & Star (Pippa) Talarino.

His loving daughter, Penny Mudgett; favorite son-in-law, Gary Mudgett of Woodbury; two brothers, Dennis and Gary Talarino; and many other family members and close friends survive him.

His wife, Jeannette (Duhancik) Talarino, and brother, Ted Talarino, predeceased him.

Mr Talarino was a baker by profession, and he loved the ocean and fishing. He was a longtime member of the Newtown Flagpole Photographers Club, for which he won numerous awards. He loved his weekly lunch with friends, after which they would shoot pool and play cards. He also loved family get-togethers and spending time with his daughter.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
