Make A Difference With Mom:

Volunteers Needed To Create ‘Care Kits’ For Local Women In Need

DANBURY — She made a difference in your life, now it is time to make a difference with her. Mothers and daughters (age 10 and older) are needed to help make a difference for other women who need a little extra help this year. 

Danbury Fair is hosting Get Together & Give to bring together mother and daughter pairs, and women with their friends, to assemble 500 “care kits” for the nonprofit Women’s Center serving greater Danbury. The event will run from 4 to 6 pm, Thursday, May 7, in the Center Court of Danbury Fair Mall, on Backus Avenue.

Although there is no charge for participating in the event, in addition to donating their time, volunteers are asked to bring a new washcloth to add to the other essential everyday items being donated by center retailers to create the care kits.

The Women’s Center will in turn deliver these packages to the area women they serve to help brighten their Mother’s Day. 

While doing good, participants will have a good time, with a wide range of fun events planned, including entertainment and refreshments.
