Martha Wakeley Reder, 64, of Lakeland, Fla., died peacefully  October 26, after a long courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on October 20, 1952, and raised in Newtown by her parents Helen and William Wakeley.

Ms Reder was a graduate of Danbury High School, employed for many years by Dupont / Kendro in Newtown, and retired from Hillsboro County Clerk of Circuit Courts in Tampa, Fla.

Her loving husband, Wendell Reder; her mother, Helen Wakeley of Danbury; and her dog survive her. Ms Reder is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Bill and Ronni Wakeley of Sharon; Jeanne and Martin Banko of Canaan; Elsa Wakeley Dohme and Dave Dohme of Holiday, Fla.; Marie and John Hall of Waterbury; and Rose Morrison of Danbury; as well as a stepdaughter, Barbara Blanchard; three nephews, a niece, a goddaughter, two aunts, an uncle, and many cousins.

Her father, William B Wakeley, predeceased her.
