The Newtown Board of Selectmen is soliciting nominations for seven residents to serve on a Permanent Memorial Commission. The commission will provide the Board of Selectmen with recommendations on the nature, location, and financial details and ramifications of memorials for their consideration and approval. 

The commission will conduct public meetings for community input and engage with families of victims, survivors, Sandy Hook School faculty and staff, Sandy Hook School parents along with appropriate Newtown agencies and commissions, and the public at large.

Interested volunteers should include their name, address, telephone contact information, and any other pertinent information they would like to share with the Board of Selectmen.
