Newtown High School's golf results from this past week are as follows:

The girls defeated Notre Dame-Fairfield 245-251 at Newtown Country Club on April 3. Gigi Marino shot a 61, Abby Watson 62, Cailin Wilson 60, and Kendal Reed 62. Coach Jeremy O'Connell's Nighthawks defeated Joel Barlow of Redding, also at Newtown Country Club, 240-262 on April 8. Marino shot a 51, Watson 64, Wilson 60, and Reed 65.

In boys' golf action, Newtown was edged by Immaculate of Danbury, at Rock Ridge Country Club on April 3, as Newtown scored 194 and Immaculate finished with a 193. David Brestovansky shot a 45, Tim Davis 48, Trevor Hislop 51, Jimmy Davies 53, Jake Mailloux 50, and Dillon Larkin 54. Coach Bobby Pattison's boys' squad defeated visiting Notre Dame-Fairfield on April 9. The Hawks shot a 197; Notre Dame did not have enough golfers to compete as a team. Brestovansky earned medalist honors with a 39, Davis shot a 46, Mailloux 53, and Andrew Gardner 59.
