Tony Stark (Downey Jr) takes on the role of mentor to the teenage Peter Parker (Holland) as the young man struggles to balance his new life as a superhero with his everyday existence, and then finds himself on the trail of a new menace (Keaton) prowling the skies of New York City in this big screen tale of the Marvel Comics hero.

Saturday, October 21 (rear parking lot): Annual Great Pumpkin Races, 10 am-2 pm, $5/pumpkin (whether entering racing competition or decorating contest), annual event features pumpkins with four wheels and two axles racing down hill behind town hall, first by age group, grand finale at 1:30, also live entertainment, local clubs and groups, presented by and fundraiser for Newtown Lions Club, rain date October 22; NewtownLions.org.

LIONS CLUB MUSTANG RAFFLE


Saturday, October 21 (front courtyard): 3 pm, tickets $10, final sales will be done during Great Pumpkin Races (while supplies last, see above), Newtown Lions will be raffling a red 1968 Ford mustang convertible, ticket proceeds to benefit local, state and international charitable efforts; NewtownLions.org.
