Pop Superstar At Aldrich Museum

RIDGEFIELD — The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art will host a performance by pop sensation Duncan Sheik on Friday, September 7, in the museum’s Erna D. Leir Gallery. The concert will be the next in the museum’s ongoing “Stage A: Performances” series.

Tickets include a wine tasting prior to the evening’s performance. Seating is limited to only 100 persons and reservations are required. Cost is $42 per person.

With his top 20 Billboard hit “Barely Breathing,” Duncan Sheik established a firm place in pop history as his self-titled debut album met with popular and critical success. It became the fourth-longest-charting single in the annals of the Hot 100 and was given four stars by Rolling Stone magazine. His latest album, Phantom Moon, on Atlantic Records, was released in February.

Sheik has since toured with artists such as Jewel, Shawn Colvin, and Jars of Clay, and made national television appearances on Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, among many others.

The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art is at 258 Main Street/Route 35. For directions and tickets, call the museum at 203-438-4519.
