The 33rd Annual Holiday Festival is scheduled for Sunday, December 2, from 11 am until 4 pm, at Main Street locations. Proceeds will again benefit Newtown Youth & Family Services.

Newtown Police Department is hoping to make the holiday season even more fun for local children and youths by hosting its first “Movie With A Cop” event on Saturday, December 15, at 4 pm.

This holiday season, Golden Opportunities is again providing some joy to the residents of these facilities through a Tag-A-Gift program.

Newtown High School’s Unified Sports program continues to grow every year, and this fall’s Blue Heat soccer team featured almost as many partners as athletes, with a combined 40 special needs athletes and the partners, student peers who worked with them, plus a small group of coaches.
