UPDATE (May 21, 2025): Ahead of inclement weather expected tomorrow night, organizers of Celebration of Kind Works are postponing the May 22 fundraiser to Thursday, May 29.
The Timeless Newtown series continued last week with a presentation on “Building Health Partnerships: How to Collaborate With Your Doctor for Better Care.” Attendees were also reminded of upcoming and a new addition to the series schedule.
Under clear skies and blazing sunshine, the community offered support to Families United in Newtown last weekend by patronizing a combination tag and bake sale hosted by Sentimenti.
Thank you for exercising your freedom of speech. We are losing all constitutional rights because of the loud silence and the blind falling in line of so many.
Thank you for your service to all members of the Newtown community, during the past 14 years. Thank you for educating Michael and me on the many ways to help the community. You will make an excellent State Representative.
As a democrat that knows the value of loyalty and who has observed both Michelle Ku and Brandon Moore at Michelle’s recent event and at another gatherings, my family and I stand behind Michelle Ku. She has spent over 14 years actively fighting for Newtown residents and not simply a few months in order to run for a state seat. I think all the candidates are worthy of praise but I want someone who knows what new families and older residents need. I built our home in Newtown hoping our sons will return one day, after their work elsewhere winds down and during our current retirement, to raise families in Newtown. I want someone with a record of advocacy like Michelle’s but also with her sense of commitment and loyalty. I do agree that she deserves the DTC support but when a party is concerned about hurting candidates’ feelings, there is nothing you can do but put one foot in front of the other and she will do that with her usual strength, intelligence, integrity and transparency.
