The Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company still has some openings available for participation in its annual Timothy and George Powell Memorial Golf Tournament to be held Monday, July 17, at the Whitney Farms Golf Course in Monroe.

The event is a fundraiser for the fire company. The cost per golfer is $100. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, plus breakfast and dinner.

Tickets also can be obtained by contacting Kevin Stoyak at Sandy Hook’s main firehouse at 18 Riverside Road on Monday evenings from 6 to 9 pm, telephone 270-4392.
