Next Week: ASAP, Pilobolus Uniting For Local Workshops, Performances

World famous dance company Pilobolus is known for the joy it brings to people from all walks of life, from professional dancers and preschoolers to senior citizens and special needs students.

Beginning on Monday, January 23, ASAP! (After School Arts Programs!) will present a new series of Pilobolus in Newtown, for ages 9-99.

The Newtown programs will be held for the fifth and sixth graders at Reed Intermediate School Monday through Friday, January 30-February 3, from 3:10 to 4:45 pm each day.

The program for adults will take place at Newtown Senior Center, 14 Riverside Road, Monday through Thursday, January 23-26, from 9 to 10 am, and then Friday, February 3, from 5 to 8 pm, at Reed Intermediate School.

Workshops are open to all physical abilities. No previous dance experience necessary - just a desire to move your body in a fun, safe setting with great music.

A lecture demonstration led by Pilobolus with Reed students will be held on Friday, February 3, at 6 pm, at Reed School. The performance is open and free to the public.

The Washington (Conn.)-based Pilobolus will also host workshops in Southbury the week of January 23.
