To the Editor:

On behalf of the residents and management of Nunnawauk Meadows, I want to thank Golden Opportunities and Laura Branchini and helpers (Karen Harris, Lynette Daria, Phyllis Santilli, Ruth Brassard, Susan Belanger, Merita Narel and Charlene Calandro), who coordinated the 2016 Tag-A-Tree program and so graciously included our residents as recipients of these donations.

Each resident received a gift and many of them were gift cards to local retail shops, grocery stores, gas stations, and eateries. They were pleasantly surprised and grateful for the generosity of their Newtown neighbors.

One resident was all smiles as he mentioned that the card that he received was a place he thinks makes the best pizza. Another resident was so happy to get "free" groceries so that she could cook a holiday meal for her family. Some expressed their joy with the office and some were sending thank you notes, especially the ones who received stamps and thank you notes as gifts.

The response from the community through your Tag-A-Tree program demonstrates their caring and support of people in need not only during the holiday season but throughout the year. We are truly thankful that the folks at Nunnawauk are included in this generosity.

Sincerely,

Linda E. Manganaro, Executive Director

Nunnawauk Meadows
