Indoor Tennis Programs

Newtown Parks & Recreation is offering an indoor tennis program through Fairfield County Tennis at NYA Sports & Fitness Center, which has indoor regulation tennis courts.

The next indoor season begins on February 3. Clinics will run for ten weeks and are offered for Pee Wee (ages 4-5), Juniors (ages 6-8, 9-12 and 11-14), for Beginners, Advanced Beginners, Low Intermediate, and Intermediate.

Adult sessions are offered for Beginner/Advanced Beginner, Low Intermediate/Intermediate. Sessions are offered day and evening, weekdays and weekends.

Fees start at $180 for the youngest players and range to $500 for the advanced adult classes.

Pro Jacob Kreimer will continue teaching this indoor session. Kreimer is a former ESPN tennis analyst and hitting partner for world’s No. 1 Martina Navratilova and Ivan Lendl. He is also a former director of the Milford Racquet Club.

Pro Pat DeNigris has passion and love for this game, and is certified by the USPTR in Teaching Advanced Stroke Production, Growing Kids, Growing the Game, Match Play Drills for Singles and Doubles, teaching today’s modern game with a Ball Machine and Mental Game Mastery. During the 2008-09 season, DeNigris coached the USTA Westport Tennis Team.
