The Resiliency Center of Newtown (RCN), at 153 South Main Street, has some events coming up.

The next Community Coffee Hour will be Wednesday, February 10, 10 to 11:30 am. Stop by for a quick visit or stay the whole time.  This is a chance to gather with the community in a safe and welcoming space.

On Thursday, February 11, at 6 pm, RCN will host a Parent Information Meeting for Camp Sea Stars North. Those interested in sending their child(ren) to a free five-day overnight camp in the Berkshires are invited to meet the camp director and learn more about the camp experience. Camp Sea Stars North is for ages 7-16. Applications are available at RCN.

Brainspotting appointments are available Friday and Saturday, February 12-13. Call RCN, 203-364-9750, for an appointment or to learn more about this unique form of therapy.

A Children's Art Project will be offered on Friday, March 4, from 2:30 until 4 pm. Newtown children are invited to create art that will be part of  RCN's upcoming annual gala.

The Resiliency Center of Newtown will host its 3rd Annual Gala on Friday, April 1, at The Waterview, 215 Roosevelt Drive (Route 34) in Monroe. This year's theme is "Strength in Community."

Tickets are on sale now, and are $150 each, and cover the full evening including cocktails, dinner, live music by an 11-piece orchestra, silent music and open bar. Auction items already include original art; Coleman camping items including a large tent, sleeping bags and cookware; a Coach bag; and a river cruise donated by Tauck.

Money raised through the evening will again go directly to RCN's programs, workshops and camps. All of RCN offerings are at no charge to those impacted by the 12/14 tragedy in the greater Newtown community.

Resiliency Center of Newtown (RCN) is a program of Tuesday's Children which is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. RCN was founded by a community member and offers long-term healing to anyone impacted 12/14.
