Ida (Palazzesi) Buck, 93, of Ridgefield, wife of the late James Buck, died peacefully at her home February 6. She was born in Rome, Italy, September 12, 1922, and was a daughter of Theresa (Vuotto) and Gaetano Palazzesi. She attended schools in Italy and worked as a professional model on the Isle of Capri before immigrating to the United States in 1945, first settling in Norfolk, Va.www.daws.org.

Two sons, Frank Buck, and his wife Aurea, of Sandy Hook and Peter Abiouness, and his wife Leigh, of Norfolk, Va.; and a daughter, Terri Lewallen, and her husband Brian, of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild survive Mrs Buck. In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, Orlando and Alberto Palazzesi, who remained in Italy, predeceased her.

Mrs Buck enjoyed Italian culture, cooking, sewing, music, and travel, but most of all the times shared with her family and close friends.

She was a member of St Mary's Parish of Ridgefield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 12, at 1:15 pm, in St. Mary's Church, 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Burial will follow in St Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield. There will be no calling hours.
