Occupation: I'm an attorney here in town. My office is at 17 Main Street. I have a general practice, so I do a little bit of everything. I'm from Fairfield and went through the school system there. I went to Fairfield University, then made it down to Washington, [DC] for law school at American University. Then came back up to Connecticut for my career.

Family: My wife, Cyndy, is a realtor in town. We've been married since 1990. We have one son, Steve, who is in his third year at Rochester Institute of Technology for internet marketing. We always enjoy seeing him on breaks. We had a nice winter break with him down in Florida.

Pets: We have a dog, Jax, he's 3½. He is a Bernese mountain dog. He's full of hair and is 125 pounds of energy. We always take him for walks either up and down Main Street or over to Fairfield Hills. He loves this time of year; he's always out lying on whatever little pile of snow he can find.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We moved here in 1999 when Steve was 3. We wanted a small town for Steve to grow up in and Newtown was a perfect town for that. We were on Pinnacle Drive for a long time, then we moved to Main Street in 2011.

What do you like to do in your free time? I have done a lot of snowboarding and for a few years I actually instructed snowboarding at Okemo Mountains in Ludlow, Vermont. It's about three hours north. We would jump in the car every Friday night and drive up there, work and enjoy Vermont for the weekend, then come back every Sunday afternoon. Also, I enjoy going boating on Lake Zoar and down in Florida. The Gulf of Mexico is stunning with gorgeous water and beaches. It's always sunny and beautiful down there.

Do you have a favorite author? Stephen King is an amazing author. I really enjoy The Stand. It's an apocalyptic story with good versus evil. I always enjoy those kinds of stories.

Florida. We go down there a few times a year. We tend to go to Marco Island, which is a little city right on the west coast. We enjoy seeing the sun melt in the Gulf of Mexico every day. What is your favorite travel destination?

What is the best part about Newtown? The people here and the sense of belonging. We are lucky to be on Main Street. We get to enjoy the parade up close and Halloween is an absolute blast. I always describe it as Mardi Gras. All the kids and adults are dressed up, and you get to see friends and clients going up and down the street, so we really enjoy that.

My father. He always did the right thing and was a very smart man. He was a fair person. He always had really good advice - of course, at the time I didn't always think it was the right advice, but in retrospect now as a father decades later, I see he was right on every single point.Who has been the greatest influence in your life?

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? It would definitely be my father. I'd want to let him know he was right after all these years.

What is your favorite music genre? I like alternative rock music. There's a relatively new radio station in Danbury, 103.7, that I really enjoy. I also like pop music and listen to a station down in Florida that has a lot of pop hits.

Do you have a favorite TV show? Longmire. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a great one, too.My wife and I love so many series. Right now we are into

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? To always do the right thing. As long as you keep your eye on that goal and work as hard as you can towards it, you can't go wrong.
