EverWonder Children's Museum has upcoming events for the entire family.

Story Lab for Young Explorers meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am. This 30 minute program of STEM themed stories, activities, and crafts takes place in the EverWonder classroom. Parents must stay with their children during the program. Program is free with museum admission.

Story Lab will meet through Thursday, February 31.

Friday, February 19, ongoing all day: Art Lab: Glitter Tooth Painting

Come celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month at EverWonder. Ongoing all day February 19, museum guests will learn about the importance of brushing teeth while creating beautiful works of art with Glitter Tooth paintings.

Also on February 19: Ranger Nate will be in the house from 10 am until 2 pm.

Come visit and explore different animal furs with our favorite animal expert.

Friday, February 24, ongoing all day: Science Lab: Tornado in a Bottle.

Young scientists will be invited to create mini tornadoes, which will be contained in plastic water bottles. Guests will learn about vortexes, centripetal force, and weather patterns through this hands-on activity.

Friday, March 4, ongoing all day: Celebrate National Peanut Month at EverWonder.

We are going to build on our scientific vocabulary through making compound word paper peanuts. No nuts will be used in this activity.

Tuesday, February 8, to Sunday, April 17: Art Lab: Butterfly Symmetry and Ladybug Dots.

Starting on Tuesday, March 8, the museum will be offering new spring inspired Art Lab projects, Butterfly Symmetry and Ladybug Dots.

Are butterflies symmetrical? If an image can be reflected over a line and the image remains unchanged, then it has a line of symmetry. Line of symmetry divides one image into two exact matching halves. In Butterfly Symmetry, young scientists will learn about lines of symmetry through decorating butterfly wings.

In Ladybug Dots, young scientists will work on their addition skills by placing dots on two distinct halves of a ladybug. After decorating the two halves of the ladybug, the scientists will count how many dots are on each side of the ladybug and add them together to figure out how many total dots are on the ladybug.

Wednesday, March 9, ongoing: Science Lab: Butterfly Life Cycles.

Museum visitors will study the four different stages of a butterfly's life, using different shaped pasta to symbolize the progression of a butterfly's development.

Thursday, March 17, ongoing: Art Lab: Scrunchy Shamrocks.

Calling all leprechauns: Lé fhéile Pédraig sona dhuit! (Happy St Patrick's Day)

Celebrate St Patrick's Day at EverWonder by learning about different Irish and American customs, and make tissue paper shamrocks. Young explorers will use their motor skills to crunch green tissue paper ribbons into little balls to glue onto a shamrock template.

Friday, March 25, ongoing: Science Lab: Jelly Bean Experiment.

What happens when jelly beans are placed into water? On Friday, March 25, museum visitors will be using a favorite springtime candy - jelly beans - to practice their prediction and observation skills while learning about water absorption, leaching, and color change.

Saturday, March 26, 10 am-noon: Easter Egg Hunt at EverWonder.

Practice sleuthing skills by finding eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny throughout the museum. Participants will be entered to win a EverWonder T-shirt.

The event calendar is subject to change without notice. Please check EverWonderMuseum.org or Facebook for calendar changes and announcements.

The museum, at 31 Pecks Lane, is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is $7.44 per person (including tax); children 12 months and under are free. Museum members are also free.
