Occupation: I’m a feng shui consultant and a ballroom and Latin dance instructor. I also do film and TV work, mostly out of New York City. I’ve acted in various feature films, Law and Order episodes. I do that as my schedule allows. It’s fun. And I do bookkeeping, too.

Family: I’m married to Rich and we have two boys. Brett is 14 and Richard is 11 years old.

Pets: We have a feral cat that I’ve worked with in our back yard. Now he comes in our house and he has become fairly comfortable there. It took about a year, though, to get him to the point where he would poke his head in the door.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We have been here since 1987, so nearly 22 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to dance, and I like to read.

Do you have a favorite author? I have a couple of favorite authors. Gregg Braden, Eckhart Tolle, and Florence Scovel Shinn. They are all New Age, metaphysical writers. They write about conscious creation in your life. It all works very nicely with the feng shui.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? The Caribbean — anywhere warm and sunny. There’s got to be ocean and lots of heat. We’ve been to several islands, and they are all wonderful. We’ve also been to Mexico a couple of times, and that’s one of my favorite places.

What changes have you seen in Newtown? There has been so much growth with housing. There doesn’t seem to be as much open area in Newtown. It used to feel more country to me when we first moved here. It’s busier now.

What is the best thing about Newtown? The people. I like the sense of community. I like the way people pull together to help others. People are there to do what they can.

If you could travel to the past or future, which would you choose? I would probably go to the future and spy on myself! I’d want to see if there were changes I want to make in my life now.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Define your passion and bring it into your everyday life as much as possible. Bring as much joy as you can into your everyday life.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? Junk food — chocolate is a big one. But any candy or sweets. I had to stop baking because I was out of control.
