Johnston Named To Insurance Round Table

Martin B. Johnston, a 25-year agent with New York Life Insurance Company in Fairfield, has qualified for membership in the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).  Only 6 percent of the world’s life insurance agents qualify for the MDRT each year through high-level client service and production.

The Million Dollar Round Table is an independent, international association of more than 19,000 life insurance agents, each of whom has met strict ethical and production requirements to qualify.  Recognized internationally as the standard of life insurance sales performance, the MDRT’s members represent approximately 50 nations and territories, and close to 500 life insurance companies.

After serving in the United States Air Force, Mr Johnston began his career in life insurance with New York Life.  He has qualified for the MDRT 23 times, is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of Southwestern Connecticut, and has been honored by qualifying for New York Life councils for 25 consecutive years. He is a recognized expert in estate planning and has spoken on the subject before numerous business and community groups.

Mr Johnston recently moved to Newtown with his wife, Janet and two of their three sons: Michael, who is employed with Oxford Health Plans and David, a junior in high school. Their first son, Jeffrey, is a lawyer and resides in Florida.

In addition to his own practice, Mr Johnston is also a successor agent for John Sullivan CLU, who is a 45-year veteran of New York Life and a longtime resident of Danbury. Mr Johnston maintains offices in Fairfield and Newtown and can be reached at 203/254-5136 or 203/426-9038.
