To the Editor: "The Healing Power of Nature."I am grateful to Bob Eckenrode and the Newtown Forest Association for expressing its position in re-gard to the preservation of the meadow habitat in the High Meadow at Fairfield Hills.  (See Bob's letter on behalf of the Newtown Forest Association,

)

While on the walking trail at High Meadow one finds oneself in the perfect place to remember those who have been, and always will be, precious to us.  Meadow, sky, distant hills, blue birds, wind, rain, snowflakes, sunsets, mother nature clothed in her finest come autumn - nothing else is needed.  Nature alone is our finest memorial.  No man-made structure requiring gravel driveway, parking space, security cameras, and police protection from vandals can ever make better what is already there.

With respect,

Melinda Reynolds
