'Cocktails And Curtain Calls,' March 28-April 2

Cocktails and Curtain Calls is a new show being offered on Charter Communications Local Access station (channel 192).

Co-hosts Elizabeth Young and Matt Austin talk about all things theater, focusing on theater in the community.

The next episode, scheduled for Monday, March 28, at 1 pm, will feature guest actors Michael Wright and Patricia Michaels, who are rehearsing for the upcoming production of Blithe Spirit with The Sherman Players.

Then on Wednesday, March 30, at 7 pm, and again on Saturday, April 2, at 1 pm, the guest will be Tom Sheehan. Mr Sheehan is directing a staged reading of the original play The Rescue Station by Newtown playwright Ray Sipherd. The reading will be taking place Saturday, April 2, at 8 pm, at Brookfield Theatre for the Arts.

Mr Sheehan will also be the director for an upcoming production of The Fantasticks, also Brookfield Theater for the Arts.

Elizabeth Young is an actor and writer who has performed in many local theaters. She is also the current theater reviewer for The Newtown Bee.

Matt Austin is a director and actor who works extensively in local theater. Among others projects, he is the creator of the improv group The 17 Debacles, based at The Brookfield Theater for the Arts.
