March For Babies

To the Editor:

In just over one month the March of Dimes-March for Babies 2008 (previously WalkAmerica) will be taking place all over the country. I am writing because the March of Dimes relies on communities to pull together for this event as it is one of their largest fundraisers. In Connecticut alone there are over 81 babies born premature every week and the March of Dimes helps these babies and their families in such a difficult time.

My husband and I have been involved with the March of Dimes for several years and we have formed “Team Wright” this year to walk on April 27 in Danbury. We moved to Newtown a few years ago and have found the residents to be very generous so I encourage you to participate or help sponsor people who are participating in this great event.
