HARTFORD, CONN. â The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art presents âFaith and Fortune: Five Centuries of European Masterworks,â on view through December 31.
Purposely arranged to provide an historical and chronological context, âFaith and Fortuneâ pairs the Wadsworth Atheneumâs Old Master paintings with a rich and varied array of sculpture and decorative arts from the permanent collection. Featured in this exhibition are paintings by Fra Angelico, Caravaggio, Hals, Zurbarán, Canaletto, Boucher, Tiepolo, Ingres and Delacroix, along with a display of objects fashioned from bronze, silver, ivory, ceramic and glass.
