STAND BIELEN, PAUL CARY GOLDBERG OPEN AT HARRISON GALLERY MAY 4
avv/gs set 4-30 #697862
WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. â The Harrison Gallery presents a show of still life artists Stanley Bielen and Paul Cary Goldberg May 4â20. Both artists will attend the showâs opening reception on Saturday, May 5, from 5 to 7 pm.
Bielen and Goldberg share an essence of delicacy and intrinsic vigor in their still life work, though portraying their floral subjects in very different media.
Bielen is a relatively new addition to The Harrison Gallery. His work honors the European heritage of still life painting with high color, lush blossoms placed against almost velvety backgrounds.
Goldberg photographs still lifeâs with an Old Masters intention. The luminosity of Goldbergâs work is an affect he achieves through the use of water-based inks on cotton paper to produce his limited edition Iris prints. This exhibition at The Harrison Gallery will be the first showing of Goldbergâs most recent compositions.
The gallery is at 39 Spring Street. For information, www.theharrisongallery.com or 413-458-1700.
