How long have you lived in Newtown? Iâve been here since 1985, and am originally from Long Island.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like to take walks and bicycle ride. I read occasionally.
Do you have a favorite bike trail? Right now, I like Wolfe Park in Monroe. I love walking around the pond there and I bike there, too.
What have you read recently? The last book I read was The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It talks about how your thoughts have frequency, and you can attract things to yourself, the good or the bad. It was very interesting.
Do you have a favorite travel destination? The most fun Iâve had was at Disney World in Florida, but Iâve enjoyed everywhere that Iâve gone.
What is the best thing about Newtown? I like the Christmas tree lighting. I think Iâve been to every one since we moved here, except for one. I love the luminaria. They give such a warm glow to the event. My kids come with me and we sing along, no matter how old they get.
What is the biggest change youâve seen in Newtown? A lot of houses have gone up, and a lot of forests have gone away. Thatâs the biggest change Iâve noticed. It makes me sad.
If you could do anything youâve never done, what would you do? Iâd like to travel all over, and not worry about anything. Iâd visit Europe and some other places I havenât been. I want to know what itâs like in other places and experience the different cultures and find out what they value.
Do you have a personal philosophy? Believe. With God, all things are possible.
Do you have a guilty pleasure? I like to relax in front of my fireplace with the snow coming down outside during the winter.
