Clinton D. Vogel

Clinton “Clint” D. Vogel, 81, husband of the late Joan Vogel of Newtown and longtime Westport resident, passed away on Monday, April 22, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York.

Clint was born on April 12, 1943, a son of Edward and Louise (Emenger) Vogel. He grew up in Westport, and graduated from J.M. Wright Technical School in 1962.

Clint was an electrician by trade and owned Vogel Electric Service. Clint owned horses and played polo at Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He loved going to Bridgeport Islander games and traveling with his late wife, especially to Ogunquit, Maine.

Clint is survived by his daughter Diane Dias and her husband Joe of Woodbury, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Joan, he was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Donald Vogel.

The family will receive friends at Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East in Westport, on Friday May 3, from 10 to 11 am, followed immediately by a service in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
