Keeping It ‘Nicer’

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Newtown Lions Club, I would like to thank the many individuals and groups who participated in our cleanup last weekend. The turnout was wonderful and exceeded our expectations with adults, teens, children, scout troops, church groups, families, and entire neighborhoods participating.

Everyone contributed and it shows on the streets of Newtown. Let’s make this an ongoing project to keep it “Nicer in Newtown.” Our thanks, also, to The Bee for getting the word out through its great publicity.
