To The Editor:http://www.newtownchoral.org/access, contact me at 426-3769 or at lel-choir2@se-ltd.com. We perform two concerts a year, sing at local events and weddings, and practice Wednesday evenings at the Newtown Middle School.

The Newtown Choral Society played to a standing room only crowd at our spring concert "The British Invasion, Cont'd," at The Meeting House, on May 6.

Our director, Mary Andreotta, led us in music from the Beatles in the 1960s through Sting's work in the 1990s, and we included music by The Rolling Stones and Queen. Our accompanist, Susan Anthony-Klein, once again supported us from our early rehearsals to her excellent concert performance.

We were delighted to be accompanied by Bob Nolte on percussion and Grant Ossendryver on guitar.

We thank Charles Zukowski and Grant Ossendryver for making our performance available; Chuck Margoulas, Dick Zang, Jeff Jackson, and Clive Beddoe-Stephens for help transporting our equipment; Denise Kaiser for corralling our music; and our ticket taker, Matt Williams.

We were delighted to welcome Phil Keane of Blue Sky Farm Productions as official photographer of The Newtown Choral Society.

The choir would like to thank Nancy Dvorin for creating and supporting our website and Facebook page; and Peg Heetmann, our long time treasurer.

We thank Mary Andreotta for hosting our after concert party.

Finally, we must thank my husband, Kenneth, for his computer expertise, his patience, and his muscle.

The Newtown Choral Society will begin rehearsals for its holiday concert, in September. We are a community choir and welcome new members from all area towns and have openings in all voices. Our soloists come from our membership.

If it is your time to raise your voice in song in a supportive environment, access

We support our selves through dues, ticket sales, and program ads.
