Hawley Elementary School fourth graders presented their Spring Concert under the guidance of music teacher Brian Kowalsky at a school assembly on Monday, May 2.

The entire student body gathered in the school's gymnasium for the performance, which was held before the fourth graders performed their Spring Concert for family and friends in the evening on May 4.

Hawley lead teacher Keri Snowden introduced the students to the concert assembly, and told the younger students that the fourth graders have been working hard for the Spring Concert.

Mr Kowalsky had students perform songs like "Hot Cross Bunds," "Gently Sleep," and "It's Raining," on their recorders to share what the recorder program is like for the younger students who have not yet taken the program.

The students then sang songs including "Fight Song," "Flashlight," and "Forever Friends."

Mr Kowalsky announced before the students sang "Flashlight" that he would need to turn the lights off for a surprise. As the students sang, they held lights and set the lights off throughout the song.
