Comedy Show Free Tickets Accounted For; Others Still Available For Donation

The free tickets that had been made available for , have been accounted for, according to an email from Newtown Parks & Recreation. A block of 400 tickets had been set aside for Newtown residents, teachers and school faculty, and first responders. These tickets were free on a first-come, first-served basis.“Stand Up For Newtown,” a comedy show at Edmond Town Hall

Those have received confirmation that there are tickets reserved in their name are asked to pick up their tickets as soon as possible at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street. The office is open Monday through Friday between 9 am and 2:30 pm.

A standby waitlist is being populated for those who would like to be contacted for tickets that may still become available. Send an email to rsvpStandUp4Newtown@gmail.com, with WAITLIST in the Subject line, to be put on the list.

Those who have received tickets (or confirmation) but who find they will not be able to attend the show are being asked to send an email to the same email address so that tickets can be released to those on the waitlist.

Performers for the June 7 event will include Peaches Rodriguez, Tommy Koenig, “The Coach” Tom Whitely, Stephanie Peters and Joe Mulligan.

A meet and greet event will follow the performance at The Inn at Newtown, 19 Main Street. Live music will be performed, and a silent auction will be held.

For those who live outside Newtown, or for those who missed the free tickets offer, tickets are also available for a suggested $25 donation. All proceeds from ticket sales will be divided between the Newtown Police Union and the Newtown Lions Club Foundation Inc./Sandy Hook Elementary Fund.
