Families United in Newtown (FUN) sponsored an early Mother’s Day event, “Movies and Mothers,” at Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel.

The May 5 event was designed to provide young people who have special needs opportunities to play games, enjoy some sweet treats, and to view a movie in the church’s movie theater while their parents listened to live music and dined on sweets and assorted beverages in a relaxing atmosphere.

FUN began hosting family social events in a safe and caring environment in 2014.
