For Newtown Hikers

Newtown Hikers will host a hike in Roxbury this weekend, not at Mohonk Preserve in New York as originally planned.

Ildiko Gramling will lead a hike through the Emily Beardsley Preserve on Saturday, May 23. The hike is about seven miles long and is of intermediate level.

Hikes leave from the lower lot of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street in Newtown, at 9 am. All are welcome (children must be accompanied), and the programs are free. Hikers are encouraged to bring a bag lunch and beverage, and wear sturdy shoes.
