Lee J. Demers, Builder 8, Noyes-Ryder 5 – Demers Steamers notched a third consecutive win to improve their record to 5-4. Sean Dardine and Richie Sandler homered (Sandler’s fifth of the year) and Kyle Wilcox doubled to pace the offense. Wilcox and Dean Demers pitched well while Nicky Clarke sparkled in the field. For Noyes-Ryder, Gary Braun had a couple of hits, with a double, to spark the offense as Colton Sposta, Jon Hill and Ryan Palmer played well.

Westport Worldwide 12, Emmett & Glander 4 – Dan Poeltl went 4-for-4 with three runs scored while Alex Roche, Brandon Cooper, Mike Koch, Mike Lobosco and Chris Robinson banged out two hits apiece to lead Westport.

Emmett & Glander 2, Noyes-Ryder 1 – Dan Gustafson pitched a solid three innings, with four strikeouts, and Mike Scharfenberg banged out a pair of hits with an RBI to lead E&G to the win. Stephen Conway pitched well, too. For Noyes-Ryder, Andrew Kelley pitched well and had an RBI single. Jon Hull also pitched well while Chris Erikson sparkled in the field, snaring a line drive and throwing to first to double off an E&G runner.

Taunton Press 3, Onex 2 – Eric Pisani, Matt Mossbarger, Justin DeVellis and Ryan Pisani sparked the Taunton offense in a narrow win over Onex. Jack Martin shined in the field. For Onex, For Onex, Bubba LeBlanc, Cassie Ekstrom and Jonah Muniz all pitched well in defeat. Andrew Ryan and Nick Swenson made great defensive plays and Jack Zahansky and Tommy Gleason had nice hard hits.

Law Offices of Andrew Buzzi 14, Prism Painting 13 – Dan Harrison was 3-for-3 as Austin Raftery, Matt Sabia and Greg Horne collected two hits apiece to lead Buzzi to the win. Back-to-back doubles by Sabia and Horne in the top of the seventh lifted Buzzi. For Prism, Erik Laaksonen had four hits. Tristan Villamil had two hits while Colin Dutt and Connor Noonan added one a piece. Matt Hoyt and Dean Lindquist played heads-up defense.

Taunton Press 10, Stony Brook 9 – A well-placed bunt by Matt Mossbarger scored the game winning run for Taunton Press in the bottom of the ninth inning. Justin DeVellis led the inning off and got on first, Eric Pisani sacrificed him over to second and into scoring position and Mossbarger laid down the bunt and reached first base safely as DeVellis kept right on going around third and slid safely across home with the game winning run. For Stony Brook, Robert Linden went 3-for-4 with two triples and 4 RBI. Connor Bateson also hit the ball hard. Logan Puleri and Greg Hennessey had strong games behind the plate.

Ferris Acres Creamery 14, Ocon Pest Control 4 – Dominic Scarangella (4-for-4, 2 doubles, 5 RBI), Brandon Marks (2-for-4, SB, 2 RBI), Chad Ferris (2-for-4, SB, 2 RBI, 2 runs) and Patrick Pierce (1-for-2, BB, 2 RBI) sparked the Ferris Acres offense. David Vallerie did a great job behind home plate for 4 solid innings. For Ocon, Brennan Merrick went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. In another strong performance, Michael Daubert allowed one run in two innings of mound work.

Ferris Acres Creamery 4, Prism Painting 2 – Dominic Scarangella, Patrick Pierce, Grant Rickets, Brandon Marks and Max Lopez, all backed by solid defense, combined to shut down Prism and allowed only five hits while striking out 11. Patrick Pierce and Max Lopez had two hits each. For Prism, Mike Davis and Jimmy Gilbert led the offensive effort, Jack Benedict and Tristan Villamil played great in the field, and Casey Fuller pitched two good innings in the extra inning loss

Ocon Pest Control 4, Stony Brook 0 – Michael Daubert, Owen Gaston, Max Temple and Garrison Buzzanca all had outstanding performances on the mound and combined for the shutout of Ocon. Alec Woznick drove in two runs to spark the offense. For Stony Brook, Alex Lapinki singled and Pat Mullins, Robert Linden and Max Hayes pitched well.

Law Offices of Andrew Buzzi 9, Stony Brook 1 – Matt Baldino and Brock Chimileski had run-scoring hits to lead Buzzi to the win. Austin Raftery was 3-for33 and Wesley Morlock was 2-for-2. Scott Kelly pitched well. For Stony Brook, Pat Mullins singled and doubled Greg Hennessey, at catcher, made a great diving catch crashing into the backstop on a foul pop-up.

Ferris Acres Creamery 6, Onex 5 – Key hits by Chad Ferris (2-for-3, 2 SB), Max Lopez (2-for-2, SB), David Vallerie (1-for-2, 2B, 2 RBI), Mikey Burton (2-for-2, SB, 2 RBI) and David Vallerie (two-run double) led Ferris to the win. For Onex, Stefan Dullinger and Tom Floros led the offense while Brandon McCarthy, Anthony Padgett and Chris Stanton played well defensively.

Mastercard International 9, Cascone Painting 9 – Colton Smith and Brandon Powell of Mastercard combined to go 6-for-7 while Will Swain, Markus Elken and Jimmy Widman added two hits a piece in the tie. Swain also helped out on the mound with 2 scoreless innings. A team effort helped Cascone Painting stage a late game rally. Victor Vasquez sparked his team with two solid innings on the hill as well as a two-double. Jake Simonson, Angel Santos and Anthony Venezia all contributed to a five-run last inning rally.

Newtown Mobil 11, Mobil 1 Lube Express 9 – Newtown Mobil won a close battle as Nehar Patel scored three runs and Nick Roche and Stephen Grasso pitched well in the victory. For Mobil 1 Lube Express, Julian Dunn went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run, two singles and four RBI. Carter Priolo went 3-for-4 and scored twice while Connor Miller went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Nick Strokis added a two-run double and Nick Corozza contributed with a single and an RBI.

Aerco International 12, Mastercard International 6 – Troy Frangione and Harry Depuy collected three hits each in the victory for Aerco. Patrick Rowley pitched well for the win. Colton Smith and Brandon Powell kept up their hot hitting by contributing two hits each in the losing effort for Mastercard. Jonathan Sherman led the team with two RBI as Powell and Will Swain pitched an inning each and combined to strike out five of the seven batters faced.

Aerco International 15, Newtown Mobil 9 – Troy Frangione and Harry Depuy collected three hits each and while Malcolm Dance and Cooper Mclean played great defense. Bobby Archiere had two hits and scored three runs for Newtown Mobil while Stephen Grasso added two hits and two runs.

Mobil 1 Lube Express 11, Sal & Pepe 0 – Julian Dunn and Travis Audet led Mobil 1 Lube Express to the win. Dunn had a triple, single, two RBI and two runs scored and Audet contributed with a double, single, two RBI and two runs. Devin Palila and Connor Miller added a double each with an RBI.

Fairfield County Irrigation 9, Newtown Mobil 8 – Virgil Procaccini, Matt Lindell and Jack Lago had three hits each while Lane Kummer and Mason Galanis turned in solid defensive efforts and Jacob Burden had his best day on the mound this season to lead FCI to the win. For Newtown Mobil, Nick Roche, Max Rucinski and Justin Corsello all had RBI in the first inning and Jeremy Fellin added two more in the sixth.

BW Retail Real Estate 13, Aerco International 2 – Connor Roche fired two innings of no-hit ball while striking out six to lead BW to the win. Ryan Rosenberger went 3-for-4 with three RBI to pace a 12-hit attack. Mark Dowling added a 3-for-5 effort with three doubles and three RBI as Brennan O’Sullivan went 2-for-3 with three runs scored in the win.

Mastercard International 12, Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital 7 – Jimmy Widman, Brandon Powell, Will Swain, Jonathan Sherman and Colton Smith combined to go 13-for-20 in the win for Mastercard. Smith and Swain combined to drive in seven runs while Rhett Ehnot scored twice. John Bashak had the defensive play of the game with his line drive catch in the fifth inning that helped put in end to a potential big rally.

Newtown Financial Mortgage 9, Associated Refuse 9 – Albert Dean pitched great for Newtown Financial Mortgage, striking out two in two innings work. Jared Pearson knocked in two runs with a double and Curtis Williamson added a double and went 2-for-3. Jake Courchene-Roy and Matthew Elias also contributed hits to pace the tie. For Associated, Chris Calo had two run-scoring hits, Jaret Devellis had a triple and Patrick Berger had a double. Kevin Finnegan, Stephen Panza and James Leuci all had hits.

Associated Refuse 12, Rich’s Keys and Locks 5 – Kevin Finnegan, Stephen Panza, Chris Calo and Michael Parker banged out two hits apiece to lead Associated. Jacob Hill and Jaret Devellis also had hits. For Rich’s, CJ Dunn reached base three times and scored two runs while stealing a base. Zach Aumueller (RBI) and Austin Martinez (solid D, good pitching effort) played well.

Newtown Financial Mortgage 7, PC Metals 0 – Matt Elias, Griffin Davis and Russell Jacobs (double) keyed a five-run third inning explosion to lead NFM to the win. Davis also tripled in a run. Curtis Williamson had three hits. For PC Metals, Glen Damota had the two hits and David Matthews pitched two scoreless innings.

Newtown Financial Mortgage 8, DINA 4 – Stephen Brittin, Jake Courchene-Roy and Alex Klang hit the ball hard and Albert Dean pitched two scoreless innings to lead NFM. For DINA, Michael Doyle, Robert McCabe (single, double), Sydney DiMartino and Matthew Hess (double) sparked the offense.

Rich’s Keys & Locks 2, PC Metals 0 – Peter Kohlsaat and Jesse Cabral sparked the offense while Jacob Nezvesky sparkled in the field to lead Rich’s to the win. Justin Appley was solid behind the dish. For PC Metals, Glen Damota and Baxter Hankin each had big hits as David Matthews, Ethan Carpenter and Nick Randle all pitched well.

DINA 4, Coldwell Banker 3 – Dillon Palumbo had two RBI and the game winning hit to lead DINA. Tim Pritchett and Sydney Dimartino had key hits. Luke Rustici struck out five, including the final two outs in a relief appearance in the top of the fifth. For the Bankers, Timothy Vander Have threw two great innings and had help from his infield defense. James Accousti and Matt Maturo sparked the offense.

Newtown Real Estate 9, Mobil 1 Lube Express 8 – Colin Patrick and Tom Cotton banged out three hits apiece while Matt Campbell, Chad Azzarito and Matthew Sodoski each had two hits to lead Newtown Real Estate. For Mobil One , Oliver Wood, Parker Strong and Nick Calbo recorded two hits each as Vijay Makayee and Colin Parker played well defensively.

Fiorella Insurance 8, Onex 7 – Joey Fiorella went 2-for-2 with two RBI while Austin Kasbarian tripled and caught the game ending out to lead Fiorella as it overcame a five-run deficit. For Onex, Jeremy Spath, Derek Streck and Eddie Henderson had three hits each as Jimmy Stiles collected two hits, including a triple.

Burrell & Winans 14, Flagpole Realty 5 – On a cold and wet Saturday morning Burrell & Winans’ hot bats helped defeat Flagpole Realty 14-5. Leading the way for Burrell & Winans was Owen Samson, Jamie Cochrane and Brandon Hensel, each with big hits.

Onex 17, VFW #308 2 – Daniel Pearson and Scott Martin banged out three hits apiece to lead a 25-hit, Onex attack. Derek Streck and Zachary Laros chipped in with doubles. On defense, Matthew Carino caught a fly ball while Nicholas Genovese pitched well.

Addessi Jewelers 5, Fiorella Insurance 4 – Sarah Spillane had two big hits and Noah LeFerriere hit a double to bring in a RBI to lead Addessi to the win. Brian Kerins made a great catch in the outfield. For Fiorella, Peter Clifford and Matthew Kugler pitched well as Matthew Kugler, Austin Kasbarian and Michael Meyer all doubled to lead the offense.

Gas House Gorillas 22, Newtown Real Estate 2 – Patrick Conte smashed two home runs and Jack Moulder, Andy Hubina and Bobby Haskins had two doubles each to lead the Gorillas to the win. Michael Capaldo and Paul Whitaker had multiple singles and had stellar defensive plays. Newtown Real Estate was led offensively by Jake Oliger, Quinlan Hart and Clint Stergue and got some great defensive plays by Claire Swanson, Grant Varnum and Chad Azzarito.

Mobil 1 Lube Express 15, Raymond James Financial 12 – Sam Duffy and Justin Dunn recorded three strikeouts each on the mound while Oliver Wood played great in the outfield. Tommy Leuci, Kevin Chernoff and Ryan Shaw each had a pair of hits.

Flagpole Realty 7, Raymond James Financial 2 – Richard Ciamarra was 2-for- and was backed by good hitting performances from Seth Willis, Mike Liberante and Jack Riley to lead Flagpole to the win.

Flagpole Realty 10, Addessi Jewelers 10 – Chris Blanco was 4-for-4 with a home run and two doubles to lead Flagpole. Tommy Elliott had three hits as Robert Katrinak pitched well.
