Former Newtown residents Steve and Lisa Bigham welcomed a daughter, their first child, named Leah Katherine Bigham, on Monday, May 17, at 7:12 am. The baby weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 19 inches long. The Bighams live in Southbury.

Maternal grandparents are Ernest and Linda Pollard, formerly of Danbury, and now of Southport, N.C.

Paternal grandparents are Ken and Barbara Bigham of Newtown.

Sarah and Alexander Hoffert of New Lebbon Road, Sandy Hook, announce the birth of a son, Nathaniel Joseph Hoffert, on May 11 at Danbury Hospital.

He joins a brother, Harrison, who is 4 years old.
