Newtown Parks & Recreation and Newtown Community Center have announced an Outdoor Movie Night is being planned for Wednesday, August 7.

Readers are invited to gather at the soccer fields at Fairfield Hills for a free screening of the 2019 comedy adventure Aladdin.

The August screening will begin at dusk. Attendees need to provide their own seating, and all ages are welcome.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, the latest version of the fairy tale features Will Smith as Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. The film is rated PG and has a running time of 2 hours 8 minutes.
