Occupation: I am the interim executive director for EverWonder Children’s Museum on Pecks Lane. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom, and a volunteer at EverWonder for four years, before this.

Family: My husband, David, and I have a daughter, Lauren, who is 9 years old, and a son, Andrew, who is 5.

Pets: We have a golden retriever, Willow. She’s just over a year old and still kind of crazy. She’s an energetic little pup.

How long have you lived here? We’ve been in Sandy Hook for eight years.

What do you like to do in your free time? I do like to exercise and work out at the gym. Then we have all the kids’ activities to keep us busy. We have a nice group of friends here in town that we spend a fair amount of time with. I do like to cook, and watch movies.

Do you have a favorite movie? I see a lot of kids’ movies. I like the original Cars movie best. We watch a lot of the crime and mystery series on television, like CSI, The Good Wife, and the Revenge series.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We do like Martha’s Vineyard. We try to go after the high season. It’s quiet, you feel somewhat secluded, any beach is close, and there are lots of ice cream choices!

What is the best thing about Newtown? I like driving down Main Street. I like the character and the small town feel of Newtown. When I go to the grocery store, the checkout people know my name. Almost anywhere I go, I know someone, and I like that feeling.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? I guess it would be my mom. My dad passed when I was young, so my mom raised the five of us. She was there for us. She molded me into who I am today, doing by example. She’s a very giving and kind person, and I’ve learned a lot from her, as a person and what she’s done and had to do. I admire her, and I want to be like the person she is.

Did you have a favorite toy, growing up? I had a Cabbage Patch doll, which I have to this day. I also liked Barbies, and Legos. Here at EverWonder, there are so many toys! But I think my favorite is the three-wheel racer.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? Chocolate; any kind of chocolate. It’s actually almost an obsession. I try not to have any in the house.
