MADISON LIONS CLUB WILL HOLD 35TH ANNUAL FLEA MARKET JUNE 23

avv/gs set 6-6 #702444

MADISON, CONN. — The Madison Lions Club will hold its 35th annual Flea Market and Bake Sale and the ABC Tag Sale on the Historic Madison Green on Saturday, June 23, from 9 am to 3 pm. Admission is free.

One of the largest events of its kind on the shoreline, it combines a huge flea market with more than 120 vendors, a bake sale of goods baked by spouses of the Lions, the Lions sports memorabilia and tag sale, and joined for the third year by the famous ABC Tag and Bike Sale.

A special feature will be a Sports Auction featuring gold foursomes, collectibles and tickets to virtually all regional sporting events (eg: Pilot Pen Tennis, Buick Open, Yankees and minor league baseball). Lions Club members will sell food and beverages.

Proceeds will be used to support numerous local and statewide community projects such as eye research, eye care and eyeglasses for the needy, Oak Hill Services for the Blind and Disabled, 14 annual scholarships at Daniel Hand High School, a large print book collection at the Scranton Library, Madison Community Services, Boy and Girl Scout programs, Madison youth sports, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and more.

Flea market vendors are welcomed to the Green and are encouraged to register early. Vendor spaces are available by mailing a $30 check, payable to the Madison Lions Foundation at 23 Jefferson Park Road, Madison CT 06443, one week before the event, ($35 thereafter).

For information and inquiries about vendor spaces, 203-245-4485 or 203-245-9413.
