MONROE — Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue will host the 26th Annual George & Timothy Powell Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, July 15, at Whitney Farms Golf Course in Monroe.

The tournament will be an 18-hole siren start, rain or shine, with golf to begin promptly at 9 am.

Registration is $150 per golfer, which includes breakfast at the Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue main station at 7 am, 18 holes of golf with a cart (soft spikes only), trophies and cash prizes, dinner at the club including a three-hour open bar (beer and wine), and a silent auction that will include a foursome to play in the Links & Laces Tour at Mohegan Sun in September.

Registration is requested as soon as possible, and can be done by contacting through the fire company’s website, www.SandyHookFire.com. Registration forms are also available at the fire company’s main station on Riverside Road.

Those who would like to attend dinner only are also welcome. Cost for that is $55. Please call the Sandy Hook Fire main station (203-270-4392) and leave a message for the Golf Tournament Committee if you are interested in attending dinner and the auction.

Sponsorships are still available. For additional information on these (Hole-In-One, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, or Golf Cart) or to contribute to our silent auction, visit Sandy Hook Fire’s website or call the main station for details.

Pete Barresi, Ken Carlson and Kevin Stoyak are co-chairs for the 26th Annual George & Timothy Powell Memorial Golf Tournament, a fundraiser for Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Openings for single players, foursomes and sponsors are still available.
